Alen Žunić, Ph.D., M.Arch., graduated from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Architecture (2013., summa cum laude) and received his Postgraduate degree in the theory and philosophy of architecture from the GSD at Harvard University and MIT (2015.). He earned his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb (2016.) where he is currently a research associate. He is currently working on his postdoctoral research at the ETH Zürich – Institut für Geschichte und Theorie der Architecture. He has published more than 250 papers and 12 books (as the author or editor). He won the international award Ranko Radović for his contribution to the field of theory of architecture. He founded the Department of Architecture at Matica hrvatske (Matrix Croatica). He has given guest lectures at faculties of architecture in Ljubljana and Zagreb and faculties of philosophy in Belgrade and Zagreb. His architecture projects won several design competition prizes and were exhibited both in Croatia and internationally.
