About Aleksandar Marković:

Born on April 15th 1987 in Tuzla. In 2005 graduated from Grammar school, Catholic School Centre “St. Francis” in Tuzla. In 2005, enrolled the Academy of Fine Arts in Široki Brijek, University of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. 21.06.2010, graduated from the Department of

Painting, in the class of assistant professor Antun Boris Švaljek, and gained a title – Master of fine arts – Academic painter and art professor. In 01.07.2010, enrolled postgraduate-specialist degree ARS SACRA of Academy of Fine Arts in Široki Brijeg and won the Master’s Degree in June 2013. Engaged in painting, photography and installation.

Up to this point, exhibited in over 70 collective art exhibitions (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Spain, England, France, Switzerland, USA) and 12 individual art exhibitions (Tuzla 3, Visoko, Mostar, Dubrovnik, Banja Luka, Široki Brijeg, Dubrovnik, Brčko). A participant of several international art colonies (”Breške” – Tuzla, Prozor HE, Međugorje, Eko-Široki Brijeg, Bugojno, etc). In 2009, participated in the Art Festival “Kaleidoscope” in Tuzla and the design workshop of Mirko Ilić. A member of the Association of Fine Arts of the Tuzla Canton, the Association of Fine Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lucido Art Group. A winner of the Rector’s award of the University in Mostar for academic year 2006/07; the purchase award for painting at the competition of the Federal Ministry of Culture, for students of Academy of Fine Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2008; and the first purchase award for painting of the Ministry, at the competition for student of Academy of Fine Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2009. A participant of the international student-rector conference in Ljubljana (Slovenia) in 2010.

A scholar of the Croatian Cultural Association, Napredak, Tuzla. Currently lives and works as freelance artist in Innsbruck, Austria. The works are in private and public collections around the world (Palm Beach – Florida, USA; Bahrein; Las Vegas – Nevada, Rochester – New York USA; Vienna, Innsbruck – Austria; Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia.
